Counselling
The Samaritans: 08457 90 90 90
Perhaps you are looking to understand yourself and find ways of coping with a difficult time? My clients say they they feel heard, understood, accepted and safe when I work with them. This creates the space for them to explore and discover what really makes them tick and understand how they deal with stress, anxiety or feeling depressed.
I hope that I will be able to provide this space for you as well; enabling you to gain insight and an understanding of yourself so that you can feel confident to make your own choices. I will not give advice or make decisions for you.
You will find that I will work with you in a holistic way, as I have found that most of my clients prefer this. However, if you would prefer to work in a focussed short-term way, then we can focus to help you cope with your immediate concern.
I will encourage you to give me feedback on your experience of the counselling process and let me know what you are finding helpful or unhelpful, so that I can adapt to meet your needs.

When meet, you and I will consider and agree a way of working together and an understanding of what you would like to achieve from counselling. We may agree to meet for a few weeks, review how it's going and you can decide whether to continue. At any point you feel you would like to stop, you can.
I am fully qualified, registered and insured. I have several years experience of working for a national mental health charity, a national bereavement charity and a general counselling agency as well as my private practice. Most importantly, I abide by the code of ethics of the BACP.
